Cosine is having a party and invites a whole bunch of other functions (sin x, tan x, e^x, etc.). Everyone seems to be having a good time, except e^x, who is in a corner all by itself. Cosine goes over to e^x, and says “come on, have a little fun – integrate yourself.” Hearing this, e^x, looking even sadder, says “eh, it wouldn’t make any difference.”
