old vs. new

sick: (‘sik) adj. from Old English “sEoc”

  1. Archaic Use: not feeling well; affected with disease or ill health : ailing, esp. as with a cold or flu
  2. Contemporary Use: cool, insane, crazy, nuts, whack, awesome, sweet, amazing, tight, wicked, dope, rad, gnarly, fresh, fly, phat, badass, funny, twisted. Something that you’ve never seen before.

Today I am most definitely archaic. I hope that by tomorrow I will be at least a little more contemporary. Ugh. Hack. Cough. Wheeze…
