Tubing Fun!

OK, truth be known, Jennifer and I were a little bummed by the weather we rolled in to when we got to Michigan. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing more fun than family, especially at the holidays. But when you go north for Christmas, you want to see some SNOW! Besides I packed every bit of my cold weather clothes – fully expecting to wake up and go cross country skiing, do a quick costume change and then riding the sleds (that is what they call snowmobiling machining up here) for the rest of the day, and maybe even followed up by a little bit of late afternoon skiing.

Unfortunately it was not to be; we drove up here from Flint in a 33 degree rain, which knocked out quite a bit of the snow that had built up over the past month. So what do you do? Make some serious lemonade out of lemons! When it is crappy skiing conditions, that only means that it is impeccable conditions for snow tubing. So today we suited up and headed over to Timberlee, the local “re-purposed” defunct ski slope, only 5 minutes away from the Treter compound. Click on the thumbnail to see the action!
