A Merry Treter Christmas

26 December 2009 66 views No Comment

After a relaxing Christmas eve dinner date at home, Jennifer and I got up and headed for the airport at 6am. We flew in to Flint, where Jennifer’s brother John and his wife Maureen met us with a car to drive the remaining three-and-a-half-hours to Traverse City. We arrived around four o’clock, and quickly got settled in. Jen’s mom Leslie prepared a fantastic meal of prime rib and lobster tails, while Maureen made one of her many famous caesar salads (she has several different ones – we rated the “easy” one). After dinner we shared gifts and generally just had a great time. It is nice to be away from work for a few days – I hope the weather gets better, which strangely enough up here means “gets worse.” It would be great to get some more snow, but it will be fun enough even if we don’t!
